Choose game-server capacity for your community הדפסה

Player count alone does not determine the resources a game server needs. The game edition, world size, plugins, simulation settings and workload all influence performance. Start with a defined configuration, then observe a realistic test session before committing to a larger public launch.

Recommended steps

  1. Identify the exact game and edition, server software and version. Check that connecting players use compatible clients. For Minecraft, Java Edition and Bedrock Edition use different server software and compatibility assumptions.
  2. List plugins, mods, world-generation features and automation systems. Test the complete intended configuration, because a lightly populated modified server can consume more resources than a larger unmodified one.
  3. Review the plan's memory, CPU allocation, storage and transfer allowance. Reserve space for saved worlds, logs and backups rather than treating the full disk allocation as permanent world storage.
  4. Invite a small group for a representative session. Watch memory usage, simulation performance, disk growth and connection quality during exploration and busy periods. Keep the software configuration unchanged while comparing tests.
  5. Confirm your management responsibilities, backup procedure and access method. A game-server subscription does not replace the game's required player licences or make every third-party plugin safe or supported.

If performance is poor, investigate the limiting component before upgrading. Reduce an expensive setting or test a suspected plugin in isolation, keeping a recoverable world backup. Send Support the version, player load and relevant metrics when you need a resource recommendation.
