Your domain, correctly connected
Review existing DNS records and the MX changes needed to route incoming mail. Domain registration and email hosting can be managed separately.
PROFESSIONAL EMAIL / YOUR DOMAIN
Choose business mailboxes using your own domain. Set out the addresses, storage and migration requirements your team needs before selecting an email platform.
MAILBOX PLANNER
Build a mailbox and storage estimate for your team. The selected email platform determines available allowances, supported features and final pricing.
Your planning summary is up to date.
Pricing, mailbox allowances, clients and migration scope are confirmed before you order.
BEYOND THE ADDRESS
Review existing DNS records and the MX changes needed to route incoming mail. Domain registration and email hosting can be managed separately.
Configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC around the services authorised to send on your domain. Authentication supports sender trust; it does not guarantee inbox placement.
Identify the source mailboxes, storage use and supported migration method. Agree the cutover and checks before changing live mail routing.
EMAIL AUTHENTICATION
Email authentication uses DNS and signing settings to help receiving systems evaluate the sender. Explore what each part does.
SPF publishes the sending sources authorised for a domain. Include every legitimate service that sends on your behalf, and use the values supplied by those services.
DKIM adds a digital signature to outgoing messages. The receiving server uses the published public key to check that signature. The selected email platform provides the signing and DNS details.
DMARC evaluates alignment with the visible From domain and tells receivers your requested handling policy. Review legitimate senders and reports before moving to an enforcement policy.
Authentication does not replace consent, responsible sending or recipient filtering. Read Google’s sender guidance.
MOVING TO A NEW EMAIL PLATFORM
List mailboxes, aliases, forwarding rules and shared addresses. Check mailbox size and any calendars or contacts that need separate handling.
Confirm the email platform, available storage, client support, retention and migration method. Not every item transfers through every protocol.
Schedule the transfer, verify sending and receiving, then change routing as agreed. Keep the source available for the agreed overlap period.
EMAIL QUESTIONS
To use an address such as name@yourbusiness.com, you need access to that domain’s DNS or an administrator who can make the required changes. The registration can remain with another registrar.
Migration depends on the source and destination platforms and the approved method. Message history, folders, contacts, calendars, aliases and permissions should be scoped separately before the work is agreed.
No. SPF, DKIM and DMARC are important parts of email authentication, but delivery also depends on sender reputation, content, recipient settings, volume and the receiving provider’s rules.
Confirm supported clients, protocols, authentication methods and device policies for the selected platform. Compatibility and collaboration features vary by service.
Business mailboxes are intended for the use described in the service order. Marketing campaigns and high-volume transactional sending may require a separate sending platform, appropriate consent and service-specific limits.
