Compute requirements
Describe workload type, concurrency and software licensing. Processor model, core count and memory should be chosen for the application, rather than a headline number alone.
DEDICATED SERVERS
Match a physical server to your application, data and operating requirements. Specify the processor, memory, disks and network, then request a quote for the complete configuration.
Illustrative hardware. Processor models, components, location and delivery are confirmed in a service quote.
BUILD A SERVER BRIEF
The application, data volume and operating model help determine the right hardware specification.
Describe workload type, concurrency and software licensing. Processor model, core count and memory should be chosen for the application, rather than a headline number alone.
Identify usable capacity, data growth and read/write patterns. Confirm disk type, redundancy, usable space and the separate backup plan in the quote.
Agree the operating system, access method, network allowance and management responsibilities. Document maintenance and escalation arrangements before deployment.
DEDICATED SERVER REQUIREMENTS
Select your preferred requirements. These options create an enquiry brief and do not represent available stock or a priced configuration.
Your quote will identify the processor model, components, disk arrangement, network allowance, location, setup fees and billing terms. No hardware is reserved by this planner.
Request a configuration quoteTHE OPERATING MODEL
Decide who maintains the operating system, protects the data and responds when something needs attention. Include those responsibilities in the server specification.
DEPLOY WITH A CLEAR HANDOVER
Share the software stack, workload profile, storage needs, location preference and any licence constraints.
Confirm exact components, recurring and setup costs, network terms, management scope and lead time.
Review access, operating-system configuration, security controls and the agreed acceptance checks before bringing production data across.
DEDICATED SERVER QUESTIONS
A dedicated server is a physical machine assigned to a customer. A VPS is a virtual server with an allocated resource configuration. The right choice depends on your workload, hardware needs and operational model.
The planner records preferences only. Available models, components, deployment location and lead times must be confirmed in the quote before an order is accepted.
Management is a separate scope decision. A live order should identify the covered operating system and services, maintenance tasks, monitoring, approval process and any exclusions.
Usable capacity depends on disk arrangement, redundancy, file system and system overhead. Ask for both raw disk capacity and expected usable space when reviewing a specification.
Migration must be reviewed against the source environment, application dependencies, data volume and required change window. A migration plan should include validation and a rollback decision.
Bring your workload profile and preferred components. Review hardware, management, setup costs and recurring charges in one quote.
