Protect business email when changing website hosting

A website move does not always require a mailbox move. Many businesses host their website and email with different services, so changing a nameserver or resetting a DNS zone without a plan can interrupt otherwise working mail.
Before a migration, identify the current MX destinations and the services authorized to send messages for your domain. Preserve required SPF, DKIM, DMARC and verification records, including entries used by contact forms and external business tools.
If email is moving, prepare the mailbox list, storage requirements, migration scope and device settings before the cutover. Test receiving and sending from an external address and review any rejection message carefully.
The Professional Email section of our Knowledgebase covers secure mailbox setup, authentication and delivery troubleshooting. Contact Technical Support with the sender, recipient, time and complete sanitized bounce message when investigating a delivery problem.
