Give a colleague account access without sharing your password Nyomtatás

Individual users provide clearer accountability than a shared login. In WHMCS, the client account owns services and billing information, while associated users can receive permission to access that account. This lets a colleague use their own authentication details instead of knowing the account owner password.

Recommended workflow

  1. Confirm the recipient address and the account that should be shared before creating an invitation.
  2. Select only the relevant permissions and let the recipient sign in using their own user identity.
  3. Review active users periodically, remove obsolete access and rotate any separate credentials that were shared during the work.

Only grant the access needed for the role. Someone who manages support tickets may not need invoice or domain management access. An external developer may need hosting credentials for a particular task without needing broad billing access. Decide which system they actually need before issuing a client-area invitation.

The account owner can manage users and permissions through the User Management area when available in the current interface. Send the invitation to a verified address and ask the colleague to complete the official acceptance process. Review access after the task ends or when a team member leaves. Removing a user from the client account does not automatically revoke separate hosting panel, SSH, database or mailbox credentials; review those systems independently.
